K2/TWINCAM'S KELLY MARTINEZ & TWINCAM'S EDDY MATZGER ROLL IN MONTREAL

K2'S Kelly Martinez rolls on her new 4x100 long mount to an impressive win in the Festival De La Sante Marathon in Montreal this past weekend.

Kelly got a chance to prove she can skate with the big boys. Eddie Wilcox suffered a shin cramp 5K into the race and was off the back. K2's Remy Chait found himself covering many breaks and eventually Eddie Matzger and Steve Robillard got away on a sustained flyer.

Remy getting frustrated being the sole skater in the peleton chasing called out to the pack come on you wussies lets chase!! Next thing he knows hes sees a matching uniform in front of him and it wasn't Eddy.

Kelly proceeded to take a pull that had the strongest of men hurting. The 4x100 on a 5'3 inch 115 pound woman was a real sight to see.
Kelly beat many of the men(7th overall) that were on hand to win some of the $7,000 prize. She easily outpaced past Festival Champion, Martine Charbenau to claim the $2,000 first place prize.

Eddie Matzger was up to his usual tricks, teaching the youngsters what its really all about. I guess Eddie has been on 100mm wheels for 3 or 4 years now. He started skating on them when the choices were few and far between.

This is a great event and you really should try and enjoy it at least once.
