The Roller Sports Ontario Indoor Speed Points Series is rolling on along this year. With its 3rd stage completed, the series is creating an indoor speed for Ontario skaters, whom in the past, never had a true comprehensive racing community that had been developped. The 3rd stage, which took place on February 8th, 2004, featured excellent racing for skaters of all abilities, ages, and genders. The floor conditions were super slick which had a significant impact on times, but not on the quality of skating that was witnessed.
Up-and-coming 14 year old Jordan Belchos was able to take the overall stage win by placing 1st in the 300 meter time trial as well as the 1000 meter pack race. Colombian skater Leonardo Echeverri managed to win the 500 meter pack race and placed 2nd overall. Scooter's own Tatia Wallace won the women's category over Tri-Cities skater Tasha Burnside.
The next Series race will take place on March 21st at the Forum in Cambridge.
