| Lafayette, Louisiana Feb. 25, 2006 Attention all Skaters! The race is on, approval has been attained by city officials and the sanction is being applied for. I will post the website by next week for everyone to get all pertinent info. Due to the mass attendance in Lafayette (over 300,000 people from all over the US), we suggest early room reservations asap. I am awaiting final info on the host hotel contacted for the number of rooms they will allow us to block for this event. Construction will be complete on the hotel in approx. 2 weeks and is on the race route and across the street from the carnival and festivities. I am also trying to contact parade officials for the skaters to possibly participate in the parade on the night of the event, by first advertising USA Rollersports but also to have banners for the skaters of their respective states represented in the event. We are also working on the possibility of having an indoor event on the Sunday morning at our local rink.
