Breathtaking, Fast and Flat Course
Perhaps no other Inline Marathon course in the country can match the scenery of this Long Beach event. The course is flat fast and scenic. Visit the Course Section for detailed information.
The Inline Marathon will start at 6:45 AM
The Inline Marathon time limit is 8 hours
There are three categories with placement dependent upon ability.
Professional (Category 1) - Elite skaters. Must be USAC, USAIR or RWC certified skaters. There are no age group awards in category 1.
Professional Master (Category 2) - Elite skaters 35+.
Open (Category 3) - Skaters who skate recreationally or if it's your first skate marathon. Usually four wheel skaters.
T-Shirt - Finishers Medal and Goodie Bag
All participants who register will receive a participant t-shirt and goodie-bag.
All finishers will receive a beautiful commemorative finisher's medal...a new design each year!
All participants (both pre- and late-registration) must attend the Marathon Expo to pick-up their participant t-shirt, goodie-bag, and timing chip.
Helmets and wrist guards are mandatory to participate in the event. Knee and elbow pads are recommended.
Inline skates and quad skates only. NO roller skates, ski poles, baby strollers, baby joggers, automobiles, skateboards, bikes, bandits, or pets are allowed
Participants must be at least 13 years or older
The use of headphones is prohibited.
Marathon Course Caution Areas
Warning: We recommend that all skaters become familiar with the race course and caution areas. You are skating at your own risk. Please view and print the Table of Caution Areas.
Medical personnel will staff the 8 medical stations along the course, and at the finish line, ensuring the participants the best in medical care.
The starting times will be:
Pro Men 6:40 am
Pro Women and Women's Masters 6:45 am
Masters Men 6:50 am
Open 6:55 am
Water Station and Course Aid
Water stations at every Mile - 2 through 25.
Replenisher is also available every even mile starting at Mile 4
Energy Gell will be available on course at Miles 9.5 and 20!
The Inline Race will use AMB timing system.
You MUST wear the timing chip on your skates. NO CHIP, NO TIME! You must also return the chip after the race or be charged $20.00.
All timing chips, t-shirts and race bibs must be picked up at the Marathon Expo.
Personal Item Storage
Personal item storage is available adjacent to the Marina Green and the Finish Line Festival located on Linden immediately south of Shoreline Drive (across the street from the Convention Center & Long Beach Arena parking lot). We do not recommend that you store any valuables.
Prize Money and Awards
To celebrate our 20th Anniversary we're giving away $20,000 in "random prize money and giveaways" - Anybody can win!
A major Inline Skate Manufacturer has reneged on their event sponsorship and as a result, NO PRIZE MONEY will be awared for Inline Skating!
The Marathon Expo features an "Inline alley" with industry and retail booths from Rollerblade, K2, Salomon, Roces and Ultra Wheels. Try out the latest products in the Inline Demo Area. Check out our inline racing clinics.
There will be a Friday FUNROLL party scheduled at 5:45pm on Friday, Oct. 8. More details to follow . . .
Post Race Industry Party
Come join our industry sponsors, skaters and staff for a post race party at the Weathering Heights Mansion from 12 Noon to 3 pm. Live music, food, drinks and fun.
Day Schedule of Events
The Race Day Schedule will be announced and posted by mid-July. There will be NO race day registration or packet pick-up.
The City Of Long Beach is a half-hour drive from Los Angeles Airport or John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
However, you may want to fly directly into Long Beach Airport on Jet Blue Airlines or American Airlines.
The weather in October along the coast is usually cool with a nice ocean breeze. It's also often foggy in the morning with an average temperature at start time of around 60F (15C). The average temperature around noon is 69F (20C). There is very little chance of precipitation.
We offer discounts for Inline groups of 10 or more.

After October 1st, you can Register in Person at the Marathon Expo in the Long Beach Convention Center.There is no race day packet pickup!
Entry Fees Are Nonrefundable. The race will be held rain or shine. Absolutely no transfers of race numbers will be allowed. No refunds can be given.
